Bethany Lutheran Free Store
The Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba hosts a free store for registered families to receive basic non-food items that can't be purchased through most other assistance programs. Kindness Rocks encourages our members to help them keep the free store stocked if you're able! (They also accept monetary donations if you are unable to donate goods directly.)
End the Silence: A Walk for Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Kindness Rocks joins many mental health organizations from all over the U.P. of Michigan to bring resources and encouragement to those struggling with mental health conditions themselves, those who are supporting someone who may be working through mental health challenges, or those who may be carrying the emotional weight of being close to someone who they have lost to suicide.
Each year we contribute to the End The Silence campaign in Escanaba which hosts a suicide awareness and prevention walk. Hundreds of people join us each year and we'd love for you to join us too! If you're interested in hosting the resource table with us, please contact us!
Toys for Tots
The Toys For Tots program is one that is close to the hearts of the Kindness Rocks founders and we always use an amount of our personal funds to help fill the Toys For Tots bins at many local businesses when they appear toward the end of October. It's also a good opportunity to show your support for local businesses as patrons too!

Little Free Library
The Kindness Rocks leaders truly believe that literacy and adventure in books is a wonderfully healthy way adults and kids alike can receive kindness then return it right back again all while being entertained or even learning something new! Our kindness rockstars work year round to keep all the Little Free Library book boxes we happen to find stocked and occasionally rotated so that nobody ever has to go without a good book to explore!
Look close for some special books that might have our Book Travels Card behind the front cover! We're always curious to see the journeys books take as they may move between hands and between libraries. If you find a book with one of our cards, be sure to sign your name to share that book's journey!
